Closed in 1977 due to the Namibian War of Independence and taken over by the Namibian government at Independence of Namibia, housing a junior secondary school. Returned to the Catholic Church in 2003, and reopened as a private school in 2004.[14] It was the fourth-best school in the country in 2013 and 2014
