Position Title: Educational Needs Assessments Research Officer
Location: Midrand

Reports To: Director of Research
Position Overview:
SayPro is seeking a dedicated and analytical Educational Needs Assessments Research Officer to join our team. This role is crucial in identifying and evaluating the educational needs of various stakeholders, including students, educators, and institutions. The successful candidate will design and conduct comprehensive assessments to guide the development of targeted educational programs and interventions.
SayPro Responsibilities:
– Conduct Needs Assessments: Design and implement research methodologies to identify and evaluate the educational needs of target populations. Utilize surveys, interviews, focus groups, and other data collection methods to gather relevant information.
– Data Analysis and Reporting: Analyze quantitative and qualitative data to derive meaningful insights. Prepare detailed reports and presentations to communicate findings to stakeholders and inform decision-making processes.
– Program Development Support: Collaborate with program development teams to translate research findings into actionable recommendations. Assist in the design of educational programs and strategies based on assessed needs.
– Stakeholder Engagement: Engage with educational institutions, community organizations, and other relevant stakeholders to understand their needs and gather input. Foster strong relationships to enhance data collection and collaboration efforts.
– Continuous Improvement: Stay updated with the latest trends and best practices in educational research and needs assessment. Apply innovative approaches to improve assessment processes and outcomes.
– Project Management: Oversee and coordinate assessment projects from inception to completion. Ensure that projects are completed on time, within scope, and in alignment with organizational goals.
SayPro Qualifications:
– Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Education, Social Sciences, Statistics, or a related field.
– Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in educational research, needs assessment, or a similar role. Demonstrated expertise in research design, data analysis, and report writing.
– Skills: Strong analytical skills with proficiency in statistical software (e.g., SPSS, R, or similar). Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
– Attributes: Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving abilities. High level of professionalism and ethical standards. Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
