Job Overview: 

The SayPro Websites and Apps Officer is responsible for the design, development, maintenance, and optimization of SayPro’s digital platforms, including websites and mobile applications. This role requires a blend of creative and technical expertise to ensure all digital products are user-friendly, visually appealing, secure, and aligned with the organization’s objectives. 

Key Responsibilities: 

SayPro Website Design and Development 

• Custom Design: Create custom website layouts and user interfaces that reflect SayPro’s brand and mission. 

• Responsive Design: Ensure websites are fully responsive and accessible across various devices and screen sizes. 

• User Experience (UX): Develop intuitive and user-friendly navigation and interaction features. 

• User Interface (UI): Design visually appealing interfaces that enhance user engagement. 

• Prototypes and Mockups: Develop and present prototypes and mockups for stakeholder approval before proceeding with development. 

SayPro Content Management 

• Content Creation: Produce and manage website content, including text, images, videos, and other media. 

• Content Editing: Review and edit content for accuracy, clarity, and relevance. 

• Content Upload: Organize and upload content to the website using content management systems (CMS). 

• Content Updates: Regularly update and refresh website content to keep it current and engaging. 

• Content Strategy: Develop and implement content strategies that align with SayPro’s goals. 

SayPro Website Development 

• Front-End Development: Implement website visuals using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. 

• Back-End Development: Develop server-side functionalities using languages like PHP, Python, or Node.js. 

• Database Integration: Integrate and manage databases to support website functionalities. 

• Custom Functionality: Build custom features and functionalities based on organizational needs. 

• API Integration: Integrate third-party APIs to enhance website capabilities. 

SayPro Search Engine Optimization (SEO) 

• Keyword Research: Conduct keyword research to optimize website content. 

• On-Page SEO: Optimize titles, meta descriptions, headers, and content for search engines. 

• Technical SEO: Implement sitemaps, robots.txt, and other technical aspects to improve indexing. 

• Backlink Building: Develop strategies for acquiring high-quality backlinks to improve search rankings. 

SayPro Website Maintenance 

• Regular Updates: Apply software, plugin, and theme updates to ensure site security and performance. 

• Bug Fixes: Identify and resolve technical issues and bugs. 

• Performance Monitoring: Monitor site performance and load times, making adjustments as needed. 

• Security Updates: Implement security patches and updates to safeguard the site against threats. 

• Backup Management: Perform regular backups of website content and data. 

SayPro User Experience (UX) Design 

• Usability Testing: Conduct testing to evaluate and improve the usability of digital platforms. 

• User Flow Optimization: Streamline navigation paths to improve user flow and experience. 

• Accessibility: Ensure compliance with accessibility standards to accommodate users with disabilities. 

• Heatmaps and Analytics: Use tools to analyze user behavior and make data-driven UX improvements. 

• Feedback Collection: Gather user feedback to inform UX improvements.

• Responsive Design: Ensure all websites and apps are optimized for mobile devices.

• Firewall Protection: Install and manage web application firewalls (WAF) to protect digital platforms.

• Order Management: Set up and manage systems for processing and managing orders. 

• Inventory Management: Monitor and manage product inventory within digital platforms.

• Google Analytics Setup: Configure Google Analytics to track website and app performance. 

• Custom Reports: Generate custom reports to monitor key metrics like traffic, conversion rates, and user behavior.

• Performance Metrics: Regularly monitor and report on performance metrics to inform strategy and improvements.

• Redesign Strategy: Develop strategies for redesigning websites and apps to enhance usability and aesthetics.

• Testing and Validation: Conduct extensive testing post-redesign to ensure functionality and user satisfaction. 

• Launch and Support: Launch redesigned websites and apps, providing post-launch support to address issues. 

Qualifications: 

• Bachelor’s degree in Web Development, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. 

• Proven experience in website and app development, including both front-end and back-end development. 

• Strong knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and relevant programming languages. 

• Experience with content management systems (CMS) such as WordPress. 

• Familiarity with SEO practices and tools. 

• Proficiency in graphic design tools like Adobe Creative Suite. 

• Strong understanding of UX/UI design principles.
