SayPro Website Services Officer
Job Summary:
The Website Services Officer will be responsible for managing, maintaining, and enhancing SayPro’s online presence through its website. This role involves working closely with various departments to ensure that website content is up-to-date, engaging, optimized for search engines, and aligned with SayPro’s branding and marketing goals. The Website Services Officer will also be responsible for implementing new website features, troubleshooting technical issues, and improving user experience across all SayPro web platforms.
Key Responsibilities:
- Website Content Management:
- Regularly update and maintain website content, including news, blog posts, product updates, event information, and other relevant content.
- Collaborate with content creators and marketing team members to upload and optimize articles, images, videos, and other multimedia content.
- Ensure the website reflects SayPro’s branding, tone, and messaging consistently.
- Search Engine Optimization (SEO):
- Implement SEO best practices for all website content to improve search engine rankings.
- Conduct keyword research, and monitor and improve web traffic analytics.
- Optimize images, meta tags, and internal linking structures for better search engine visibility.
- Website Development and Maintenance:
- Work closely with the IT department or external developers to implement new features, updates, and functionality on the website.
- Troubleshoot and resolve website issues, including broken links, slow loading times, and compatibility problems.
- Monitor website performance and security and perform regular updates to keep the site functioning smoothly.
- User Experience (UX) Enhancement:
- Continuously improve user experience by ensuring that the website is easy to navigate, mobile-friendly, and accessible to all users.
- Analyze user behavior data to identify areas for improvement in the website’s interface, structure, and content.
- Website Analytics and Reporting:
- Track and report on website performance, including visitor metrics, bounce rates, conversion rates, and other key performance indicators.
- Provide insights and recommendations to the marketing team to optimize website content and user engagement.
- Collaboration and Support:
- Collaborate with marketing, sales, product development, and other teams to support their website-related needs.
- Train and support internal teams in the use of content management systems (CMS) and website-related tools.
- Coordinate with external vendors and service providers for website hosting, domain management, and third-party integrations.
- Compliance and Accessibility:
- Ensure the website complies with legal and regulatory requirements, including data privacy and accessibility standards.
- Conduct periodic audits to ensure website compliance with SayPro’s policies and international best practices.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Web Development, Information Technology, or related field. - Experience:
- 3+ years of experience managing and maintaining websites (experience with WordPress, Drupal, or similar CMS is highly desirable).
- Proven experience with SEO practices and website optimization.
- Familiarity with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and web development best practices.
- Technical Skills:
- Strong understanding of website performance metrics and analytics tools (Google Analytics, SEMrush, etc.).
- Basic graphic design skills and experience with image editing tools (e.g., Photoshop, Canva) are a plus.
- Soft Skills:
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Attention to detail, strong problem-solving abilities, and ability to work independently.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
