Introduction
Our Client in Cape Town require someone with the following responsibilities strong leadership, sales skills, and an in-depth understanding of retail market. Effective communication, organizational abilities, and a customer-focused approach are crucial for success in this role
Duties & Responsibilities
Managing a team of +/-4 sales consultants as well as the day-to-day running’s of the showroom
Strong leadership and managerial skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team
Responsible for the overall sales performance of a team (from setting sales goals to training and supporting)
Ability to work in a faced paced, dynamic environment
Oversee the entire sales process from lead generation to closing deals (including projects)
Ensure accurate and timely reporting of sales activities and results
Collaborate with the marketing team to develop and execute promotional campaigns and events
Sales Strategy: Develop and implement sales strategies to meet or exceed sales targets and increase profitability
Product Knowledge: Maintain deep knowledge of products offered.
Team Leadership: Supervise and motivate sales staff, ensuring they adhere to store policies and deliver high levels of customer service.
Training: Train new hires and provide ongoing coaching to staff on sales techniques, product knowledge, and customer service skills.
Scheduling: Create staff schedules to ensure adequate coverage during peak times and manage time-off requests, as well as Saturday shifts.
Inventory Management: Oversee inventory levels, including ordering and restocking products, and manage supplier relationships to ensure product availability.
Visual Merchandising: Ensure the store layout and product displays are attractive, organized, and aligned with current promotional themes or sales strategies.
Sales Reporting: Monitor sales performance and prepare reports on sales trends, staff performance, and inventory status for upper management.
Budgeting: Develop and manage budgets for the department, including setting sales goals and managing expenses, with the financial manager.
Pricing: Ensure pricing is competitive and reflects current promotions or discounts, and manage markdowns as needed. Including Slow moving stock promotions and marketing.
Compliance: Ensure the store complies with health, safety, and legal regulations, including those specific to retail operations.
Safety Procedures: Implement and enforce store safety protocols to protect staff and customers.
Conduct market research and analysis to identify new business opportunities and stay updated on industry trends

Ability to build and maintain relationships
Experience in Sales Pastel or willing to learn
