Overview: 

SayPro (Southern Africa Youth Project) is looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Product Officer to manage a wide range of product types across our platform. The Product Officer will be responsible for the end-to-end management of products, including listing, pricing, inventory control, and customer interaction. This role is crucial in ensuring the seamless operation of our product offerings, enhancing customer satisfaction, and supporting the organization’s mission to empower youth and communities. 

Responsibilities: 

SayPro Simple Products: 

• Product Listing: Accurately create and list individual products in the store. 

• Pricing: Set and update both base and sale prices for products. 

• Inventory Management: Monitor and manage stock status, quantities, and handle backorders efficiently. 

• Product Images: Upload and manage product images to ensure high visual quality. 

• Product Descriptions: Write detailed product descriptions and specifications to assist customers in making informed decisions. 

SayPro Variable Products: 

• Attribute Management: Define and manage product attributes such as size, color, or material. 

• Variation Creation: Create and manage different product variations based on attributes. 

• Pricing Variations: Set and adjust prices for each variation. 

• Stock Management: Monitor and manage stock levels for each variation. 

• Variation Images: Upload and maintain images specific to each variation. 

SayPro Grouped Products: 

• Group Creation: Create and manage product groups that consist of multiple individual products. 

• Product Association: Associate related products into groups to improve customer experience. 

• Group Pricing: Set and manage pricing and discounts for product groups. 

• Stock Management: Oversee and manage stock levels for each product within the group. 

• Product Display: Ensure that grouped products are effectively displayed on the storefront. 

SayPro External/Affiliate Products: 

• Product Linking: Link to external affiliate or vendor sites for product listings. 

• Product Listing: Add and manage affiliate products on SayPro’s store. 

• Pricing Information: Display accurate pricing and product details from external sites. 

• Affiliate Tracking: Track clicks and conversions through affiliate links to measure performance. 

• Marketing and Promotion: Promote affiliate products using banners, ads, and other marketing tools. 

SayPro Downloadable Products: 

• File Upload: Upload and manage digital files that customers can download after purchase. 

• Access Control: Set and manage access rules, including expiration dates for downloads. 

• Pricing: Set appropriate pricing for digital products. 

• License Keys: Manage the distribution of license keys if applicable. 

• Download Limits: Configure download limits for each customer to prevent abuse. 

SayPro Virtual Products: 

• Product Listing: Create and manage virtual products that do not require physical shipping. 

• Service Descriptions: Provide detailed descriptions for virtual services or products. 

• Pricing: Set and manage pricing for virtual products. 

• Booking Integration: Integrate virtual products with booking plugins if needed. 

• Access Control: Manage and control customer access to virtual products or services. 

SayPro Subscription Products: 

• Subscription Setup: Create and manage subscription-based products with recurring payments. 

• Billing Cycles: Define and manage billing intervals (e.g., monthly, yearly). 

• Subscription Management: Oversee active subscriptions, including renewals and cancellations. 

• Trial Periods: Offer and manage trial periods for subscription products. 

• Subscription Discounts: Apply discounts and promotions for subscriptions as needed. 

SayPro Membership Products: 

• Membership Levels: Create and manage different membership levels or tiers. 

• Access Control: Control access to content or products based on membership level. 

• Subscription Management: Handle recurring payments and renewals for memberships. 

• Discounts and Perks: Offer exclusive discounts and benefits to members. 

• Member Dashboard: Provide and maintain a user-friendly dashboard for members to manage their accounts.

• Booking Setup: Create bookable products with calendar-based scheduling. 

• Availability Management: Set and manage available booking times and dates. 

• Pricing: Configure pricing based on booking duration or time slots.

• Bundle Creation: Create and manage product bundles or kits that consist of multiple items. 

• Discounts: Set and manage discounts for bundled products. 

• Inventory Management: Track and manage inventory for products within bundles. 

• Custom Bundles: Enable customers to create custom bundles based on their preferences. 

• Bundle Pricing: Set and manage pricing for the entire bundle. 

SayPro Pre-Orders: 

• Pre-Order Setup: Enable and manage pre-order functionality for upcoming products. 

• Pricing: Set and adjust pricing for pre-ordered items. 

• Availability Date: Set and manage the release dates for pre-ordered products. 

• Customer Notifications: Notify customers about the status and updates of their pre-orders.

• Stock Management: Monitor and manage inventory for seasonal products.

SayPro Subscription Box Products: 

• Box Creation: Design and manage subscription boxes containing curated items. 

• Box Pricing: Set and manage pricing for subscription box plans. 

• Recurring Orders: Oversee the management of recurring orders and shipments. 

• Box Customization: Allow customers to customize their subscription boxes. 

• Delivery Management: Manage delivery schedules and logistics for subscription boxes. 

Qualifications: 

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field. 

• Experience in e-commerce or product management. 

• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. 

• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks. 

• Excellent communication and customer service skills. 

• Familiarity with product management software and e-commerce platforms. 

Work Environment: 

This position may require a combination of in-office and remote work, with occasional travel for meetings or product launches. Flexibility and adaptability are key, as the role may involve working with various teams and managing multiple product categories simultaneously.
