Job Summary:
SayPro is seeking a dedicated and analytical Policy Officer to join our Policy and Strategy team. The Policy Officer will be responsible for researching, developing, and analyzing policies that align with the company’s strategic goals and regulatory requirements. This role requires strong research skills, the ability to interpret complex regulations, and a strategic mindset to influence and implement effective policies.
Key Responsibilities:
Policy Development: Research and develop policies that support SayPro’s strategic objectives and comply with relevant regulations. Draft policy documents, including guidelines, procedures, and best practices.
Policy Analysis: Analyze existing policies and evaluate their effectiveness. Identify areas for improvement and propose changes to enhance policy effectiveness and compliance.
Regulatory Compliance: Stay up-to-date with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards. Ensure that policies are compliant with current regulatory requirements and anticipate future changes.
Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with internal departments and external stakeholders to gather input on policy development and implementation. Facilitate discussions to address policy-related issues and incorporate feedback.
Reporting: Prepare reports and presentations on policy issues, developments, and recommendations for senior management and the board. Monitor and report on the impact of policy changes on organizational performance.
Implementation Support: Assist in the rollout and implementation of new policies. Provide guidance and training to staff on policy-related matters and ensure adherence to established procedures.
Research and Trends: Conduct research on industry trends, best practices, and emerging issues that could impact policies. Use findings to inform policy recommendations and strategic decisions.
Documentation and Records: Maintain accurate records of policy documents, changes, and related communications. Ensure proper documentation and version control for all policy-related materials.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Public Administration, Political Science, Law, Business Administration, or a related field. Advanced degree or relevant certification (e.g., Certified Policy Analyst) is a plus.
Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in policy development, analysis, or a related field. Experience in a corporate or governmental setting is advantageous.
