in2food is a premium food and beverage manufacturer specializing in private label and own brands. An exciting opportunity exists for an enthusiastic Operations Manager to join our dynamic team. This role is responsible for driving continuous improvement initiatives, ensuring timely product delivery, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to achieve both production and food safety goals. The Operations Manager will lead their teams to enhance productivity and sustainability. Duties & Responsibilities
Oversee the development of the operational strategy in conjunction with the General Manager and other Heads of departments.
Establish and maintain appropriate systems to monitor, evaluate and report on all aspects of manufacturing processes.
Oversee the Production, Logistics, Process Control and Security department and manage, develop and supervise respective teams to maintain business continuity.
Manage the development of direct reports through objective setting, monitoring and periodic evaluations.
Design and implement plans for the effective use of raw materials and packaging and drive the process improvement plans to reduce rejections and waste.
Establish a structured plan for daily root cause analysis and corrective actions to achieve and improve manufacturing targets.
Liaise with relevant stakeholders to ensure the site KPIs are achieved through effective new product launches; availability; quality; food safety and efficient utilisation of manufacturing equipment, energy and human resources.
Plan Christmas production of FMPs and Special Occasion’ Product ranges and oversee the tracking and execution of these plans.
Oversee Internal and External Audits where applicable.
Provide Training as required
Responsible for creating a positive working environment, working with diverse teams at various performance levels, and fostering an atmosphere that motivates colleagues to perform at their best in helping the company achieve its objectives
Desired Experience & Qualification
Grade 12/Matric
Tertiary Qualification in Food Science/ Industrial Engineering/ Operations Management
At least 10 years experience in the food industry/ similar manufacturing sector and a minimum of 5 years in a middle to senior management role.
