Operations Manager – Timber Manufacturing
Location: Kwazulu Natal
Are you an experienced professional with a strong background in timber manufacturing? We are seeking a hands-on Operations Manager to oversee the daily operations of our timber manufacturing facility.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage day-to-day operations, ensuring smooth workflow and timely order processing.
Oversee production, staff management, and ensure adherence to quality standards.
Liaise with clients, addressing their needs, and ensuring customer satisfaction.
Call on clients to maintain relationships and assist in driving sales.
Ensure the factory operates efficiently and profitably, with a focus on cost control and waste reduction.
Develop and implement operational strategies to drive continuous improvement.
Coordinate with sales teams to align production and sales goals.
Monitor and improve operational processes and productivity.
Requirements:
Proven experience in a management role in a manufacturing environment, preferably within the timber industry.
Strong technical skillset with hands-on factory management experience.
Knowledge of timber manufacturing processes and products.
Excellent leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a team.
Strong client-facing skills, with experience in customer service and relationship management.
Ability to work under pressure and solve operational challenges.
Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
