Duties & Responsibilities
Project Management:
Oversee the planning, execution, and completion of installation projects for Integrated Electronic Systems (IES),Specifically including but not limited to: CCTV, Access Control, Fire Life Health Safety, Intrusion Detection, Networks & Connectivity, Multimedia and Audio, Structured Cabling Copper and Fire, Wi-Fi etc.
Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
Manage projects in accordance with JBCC
Team Leadership:
Lead and manage a team of technicians and subcontractors.
Provide training, support, and performance evaluations to team members.
System Integration:
Ensure seamless integration of various systems, including IES, BMS, wireless networks, and other related technologies.
Collaborate with other departments to align system installations with overall business objectives.
Quality Assurance:
Implement and maintain quality control procedures to ensure high standards of installation and system performance.
Client Relations:
Maintain strong relationships with clients, addressing their needs and concerns promptly.
Provide regular updates and reports to contractual parties/clients on project progress and any issues encountered.
Budget and Resource Management:
Develop and manage project budgets, ensuring cost-effective use of resources.
Negotiate contracts with suppliers and subcontractors.
Technical Support:
Provide technical guidance and support to the installation teams.
Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues that arise during installations.
Documentation and Reporting:
Maintain detailed records of project activities, including installation plans, progress reports, and system configurations.
Prepare and present reports to senior management on project status and performance.
Desired Experience & Qualification
Educational Background:
Matric – Grade 12.
Project Management certification will be an advantage
Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Operations Management, or a related field will be an advantage.
Experience:
Proven experience in operations management, preferably in a similar industry.
Experience working with JBCC sub-contractors and familiarity with JBCC standards.
Skills:
Strong project management and leadership skills.
In-depth knowledge of the IT, Security and Building industry.
Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
Proficiency in using project management software and tools.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
