Job Summary:
The SayPro Online Marketplace Officer will be responsible for managing and optimizing SayPro’s online marketplace, ensuring that it operates efficiently, meets the needs of its users, and aligns with SayPro’s overall mission. The role includes overseeing various marketplace categories, implementing and managing marketplace features, enhancing user experience, executing marketing and promotional strategies, and providing ongoing support and maintenance.
Key Responsibilities:
SayPro Marketplace Categories Management
- Professional Services:
- Oversee listings for Consulting, Legal Services, and IT Services.
- Ensure that each category is well-populated with relevant, high-quality service providers.
- Monitor category performance and make adjustments to improve user engagement.
- Business Services:
- Manage offerings in Company Registration, Financial Services, and HR Services.
- Facilitate partnerships with relevant service providers to enhance marketplace offerings.
- Marketing and Advertising:
- Oversee categories related to Digital Marketing, Print Advertising, and Branding.
- Ensure up-to-date and innovative marketing services are available for users.
- E-Commerce:
- Manage the setup, sales strategies, and inventory management categories.
- Work closely with e-commerce vendors to ensure smooth transactions and customer satisfaction.
- Event Management:
- Oversee services for event planning, marketing, and on-site management.
- Ensure the availability of diverse vendors for different event types.
- Educational Services:
- Manage listings for Courses and Training, and Educational Materials.
- Work with educational partners to ensure a wide range of up-to-date and relevant offerings.
- Community Services:
- Oversee Volunteering, Fundraising, and Social Impact Projects categories.
- Ensure the availability of opportunities that align with SayPro’s social mission.
- Property and Real Estate:
- Manage Property Management and Real Estate Services categories.
- Facilitate user access to reliable property services and expert advice.
- Technology Services:
- Oversee Web Development, IT Support, and Software Solutions categories.
- Ensure the marketplace offers cutting-edge technology services.
- Health and Wellness:
- Manage Health Services and Fitness and Recreation categories.
- Ensure a wide range of health and wellness services are available to users.
- Arts and Entertainment:
- Oversee Event Production and Creative Services categories.
- Facilitate user access to a diverse range of artistic and entertainment services.
- Travel and Tourism:
- Manage Travel Planning and Tour Management categories.
- Ensure that travel services are comprehensive and user-friendly.
SayPro Marketplace Features Management
- User Accounts:
- Oversee user registration, profiles, and dashboard customization.
- Ensure a seamless user experience for account management.
- Product and Service Listings:
- Manage categories, filters, search functionality, and detail pages.
- Optimize listings for visibility and ease of use.
- Transactions and Payments:
- Oversee shopping cart functionality, payment gateway integration, and order management.
- Ensure secure and efficient transaction processes.
- Reviews and Ratings:
- Implement and manage the review system.
- Ensure reviews are moderated for quality and relevance.
- Communication Tools:
- Enable direct communication between buyers and sellers.
- Manage notifications for updates and promotions.
- Admin Panel:
- Oversee the admin dashboard, analytics, and content management.
- Ensure the admin panel is user-friendly and provides necessary insights.

- Responsive Design:
- Ensure the marketplace is mobile-friendly and has an intuitive user interface.
- Continuously improve the design based on user feedback.
- Customization:
- Manage themes, templates, and customization options.
- Ensure that users can personalize their profiles and listings.
- Accessibility:
- Implement inclusive design practices to ensure accessibility.
- Provide language support as needed.
SayPro Marketing and Promotion
- SEO and Analytics:
- Optimize the marketplace for search engines.
- Use analytics tools to track performance and user behavior.
- Advertising:
- Manage banner ads and email marketing campaigns.
- Ensure effective promotion of marketplace offerings.
- Social Media Integration:
- Oversee social sharing features and social media links.
- Facilitate seamless integration with users’ social media profiles.
SayPro Support and Maintenance
- Customer Support:
- Provide customer support through various channels.
- Develop and maintain a knowledge base with FAQs and documentation.
- Regular Updates:
- Keep the marketplace software and plugins updated.
- Implement security measures to protect user data.
- Backup and Recovery:
- Ensure regular data backups and disaster recovery plans are in place.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Proven experience in managing online marketplaces or e-commerce platforms.
- Strong understanding of user experience design, SEO, and digital marketing.
- Excellent project management and organizational skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Working Conditions:
