We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Municipality Partnership Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in establishing, managing, and nurturing partnerships between our organization and municipalities. This role requires a strategic thinker with a strong understanding of municipal operations, policy, and project management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Partnership Development:
- Identify and cultivate relationships with key municipal stakeholders to enhance collaboration.
- Develop and implement strategies for establishing and sustaining partnerships with municipalities.
- Negotiate and manage partnership agreements to ensure mutual benefit and alignment with organizational goals.
- Project Management:
- Oversee the planning, execution, and evaluation of partnership projects, ensuring timely delivery and compliance with municipal regulations.
- Coordinate cross-departmental efforts to support municipal partnerships and initiatives.
- Monitor project progress and prepare regular reports for stakeholders.
- Policy and Advocacy:
- Stay informed on municipal policies, regulations, and trends that impact partnership opportunities.
- Advocate for municipal policy changes that support the objectives of our partnerships.
- Provide expertise on municipal governance, public administration, and related areas.
- Communication and Engagement:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for municipal partners, fostering open communication and collaboration.
- Develop and deliver presentations, proposals, and reports to municipal leaders and other stakeholders.
- Organize and participate in meetings, workshops, and events to promote partnership initiatives.
- Data Analysis and Reporting:
- Analyze data related to municipal partnerships, including performance metrics, budget allocation, and impact assessments.
- Prepare comprehensive reports and presentations for senior management and municipal partners.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Public Administration, Urban Planning, Political Science, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in municipal relations, public policy, or partnership management.
- Proven track record of successfully managing municipal partnerships or similar collaborations.
- Strong understanding of municipal governance, public administration, and related legal frameworks.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on data-driven decision-making.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Proficiency in project management tools and Microsoft Office Suite.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working within or alongside municipal governments.
- Familiarity with local government funding and grant processes.
- Experience in developing and managing large-scale partnership projects.
