The Municipality Partnership Officer will play a pivotal role in fostering and maintaining relationships between the municipality and various stakeholders, including government agencies, NGOs, private sector partners, and community groups. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of municipal operations, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple partnerships that drive the municipality’s strategic goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Partnership Development:
- Identify and establish strategic partnerships with key stakeholders to support municipal programs and initiatives.
- Negotiate partnership agreements and ensure mutual benefits are clearly defined and achieved.
- Stakeholder Engagement:
- Act as the primary point of contact for all external partners, ensuring clear communication and effective collaboration.
- Organize and facilitate meetings, workshops, and events to engage partners and foster collaboration.
- Project Management:
- Oversee and coordinate partnership projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and budget.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of partnerships and make recommendations for improvements.
- Policy and Compliance:
- Ensure all partnerships comply with municipal policies, regulations, and legal requirements.
- Provide regular updates and reports to senior management on the status of partnerships.
- Communication and Advocacy:
- Develop and implement communication strategies to promote partnership initiatives and successes.
- Advocate for the municipality’s interests in partnership discussions and negotiations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Public Administration, Business Administration, Political Science, or a related field.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in partnership management, stakeholder engagement, or a related role, preferably within a government or public sector environment.
- Strong understanding of municipal operations, policies, and governance.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects and partnerships simultaneously.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and partnership management software.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working with a variety of stakeholders, including government agencies, NGOs, and private sector partners.
- Knowledge of local, state, and federal regulations affecting municipal partnerships.
- Bachelor’s degree in Public Administration, Business Administration, Political Science, or a related field
