The Municipality Partnership Officer will play a pivotal role in fostering and maintaining relationships between the municipality and various stakeholders, including government agencies, NGOs, private sector partners, and community groups. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of municipal operations, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple partnerships that drive the municipality’s strategic goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Partnership Development:
    • Identify and establish strategic partnerships with key stakeholders to support municipal programs and initiatives.
    • Negotiate partnership agreements and ensure mutual benefits are clearly defined and achieved.
  • Stakeholder Engagement:
    • Act as the primary point of contact for all external partners, ensuring clear communication and effective collaboration.
    • Organize and facilitate meetings, workshops, and events to engage partners and foster collaboration.
  • Project Management:
    • Oversee and coordinate partnership projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and budget.
    • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of partnerships and make recommendations for improvements.
  • Policy and Compliance:
    • Ensure all partnerships comply with municipal policies, regulations, and legal requirements.
    • Provide regular updates and reports to senior management on the status of partnerships.
  • Communication and Advocacy:
    • Develop and implement communication strategies to promote partnership initiatives and successes.
    • Advocate for the municipality’s interests in partnership discussions and negotiations.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Public Administration, Business Administration, Political Science, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in partnership management, stakeholder engagement, or a related role, preferably within a government or public sector environment.
  • Strong understanding of municipal operations, policies, and governance.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and partnerships simultaneously.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and partnership management software.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working with a variety of stakeholders, including government agencies, NGOs, and private sector partners.
  • Knowledge of local, state, and federal regulations affecting municipal partnerships.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Public Administration, Business Administration, Political Science, or a related field
