Job Summary:
The Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E)—Learning Specialist plays a pivotal role in ensuring the effective implementation and continuous improvement of M&E systems. This role integrates best practices, deriving actionable insights from data, documenting lessons learned, and identifying areas for improvement. The Learning Specialist will drive decision-making processes and support future planning to enhance organisational effectiveness and impact.
Key Responsibilities:
SayPro Monitoring and Evaluation Insights:
– Analyze M&E data to extract meaningful insights and trends.
– Prepare comprehensive reports that highlight key findings and implications for program effectiveness.
– Share insights with stakeholders to inform strategic decisions and enhance program outcomes.
SayPro Best Practices:
– Identify and document best practices in monitoring and evaluation methodologies.
– Develop and disseminate guidelines and protocols to standardise and improve M&E practices across the organisation.
– Stay updated on industry trends and emerging practices to ensure the organisation remains at the forefront of M&E excellence.
SayPro Lessons Learned:
– Facilitate the process of capturing lessons learned from project implementations and evaluations.
– Organize and conduct workshops and debriefing sessions to share lessons learned with relevant teams.
– Ensure lessons learned are integrated into project design and implementation for continuous improvement.
SayPro Learning Areas of Improvement:
– Conduct assessments to identify gaps and areas for improvement in M&E practices and systems.
– Develop and implement targeted training programs and capacity-building activities to address identified learning needs.
– Monitor the effectiveness of learning interventions and make necessary adjustments to enhance outcomes.
SayPro Decision Making:
– Support decision-making processes by providing data-driven recommendations and strategic insights.
– Collaborate with program managers and other stakeholders to translate M&E findings into actionable decisions.
– Develop tools and frameworks to aid in evidence-based decision-making.
SayPro Future Planning:
– Contribute to developing strategic plans and future project designs by integrating M&E insights and lessons learned.
– Anticipate future challenges and opportunities in M&E and propose innovative solutions and approaches.
– Ensure alignment of M&E strategies with organisational goals and objectives.
SayPro Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences, Statistics, International Development, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred.
-Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in monitoring and evaluation, with a strong focus on learning and knowledge management.
– Skills:
– Proficiency in data analysis and statistical software (e.g., SPSS, R, Excel).
– Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
– Strong analytical and critical thinking abilities.
– Experience in designing and delivering training programs.
– Ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
