SayPro Role Overview
The M&E Specialist—Evaluation at SayPro will design and implement robust methodologies to assess the impact and effectiveness of our programs and services. This role involves collecting and analysing data, preparing detailed reports, and providing actionable insights to drive program improvements. You will collaborate with stakeholders, conduct assessments, and ensure that our programs meet their intended goals and deliver measurable results.
SayPro Key Responsibilities
1. Impact Assessment Evaluation
– Design and Implementation: Develop and execute impact assessment methodologies to evaluate program outcomes and effects.
– Data Collection and Analysis: Gather and analyse data related to program impacts to measure effectiveness and success.
– Reporting: Prepare comprehensive impact reports highlighting key findings, insights, and recommendations for improvement.
– Stakeholder Engagement: Conduct interviews with stakeholders to assess the effects and perceptions of programs.
– Benchmark Review: Evaluate impact data against predefined benchmarks and goals to assess performance.
2. Programme/Service Effectiveness Evaluation
– Criteria Development: Establish criteria and metrics for evaluating the effectiveness of programs and services.
– Feedback Collection: Conduct surveys and focus groups to gather feedback on program services.
– Data Analysis: Analyze effectiveness data to identify program strengths and areas for improvement.
– Reporting: Generate effectiveness reports with actionable insights and recommendations.
– Review: Based on evaluation findings, monitor and review changes made to improve program effectiveness.
3. Assessment Evaluation
– Tool Creation: Develop assessment tools and frameworks tailored to specific programs.
– Periodic Assessments: Conduct regular assessments to evaluate program performance and success.
– Data Interpretation: Review and interpret assessment data to determine program effectiveness.
– Communication: Share assessment findings with relevant stakeholders and teams.
– Recommendations: Recommend strategies to address identified gaps or issues based on assessment results.
4. Impact Studies Evaluation
– Study Design: Design and execute impact studies to explore the long-term effects of programs.
– Research Methods: Use quantitative and qualitative research methods to gather data.
– Data Analysis: Analyze study results to measure the program’s influence on target populations.
– Documentation: Document and disseminate study findings through reports and presentations.
– Collaboration: Work with external researchers to ensure comprehensive impact analysis.
5. Outcomes Evaluation
– Outcome Definition: Define measurable outcomes for each program or service.
– Tracking: Track and assess the achievement of desired outcomes.
– Evaluation: Evaluate the relationship between program activities and outcomes.
– Feedback: Provide outcome-based feedback to program managers and stakeholders.
– Strategy Adjustment: Adjust program strategies based on outcome evaluation results.
6. Strategic and Key Documents Evaluation
– Review: Examine strategic plans and key documents to ensure they align with organizational objectives.
– Assessment: Assess the relevance and effectiveness of program strategies outlined in documents.
– Updates: Update and revise strategic documents based on evaluation findings.
– Standards: Ensure documentation meets regulatory and organizational standards.
– Communication: Communicate changes and updates to relevant stakeholders.
7. Programme Timeline Review
– Monitoring: Monitor and review program timelines and milestones.
– Adherence Assessment: Assess adherence to project schedules and deadlines.
– Issue Identification: Identify and address delays or deviations from planned timelines.
– Projections: Update timeline projections based on current progress and changes.
– Reporting: Report on timeline adherence and recommend adjustments as needed.
8. Areas of Improvement Review / Resolutions Evaluation
– Identification: Identify areas needing improvement through evaluations and feedback.
– Action Plans: Develop and implement action plans to address identified issues.
– Effectiveness Monitoring: Monitor the effectiveness of resolution strategies.
– Follow-Up: Conduct follow-up reviews to assess improvements and sustained changes.
– Reporting: Report on resolutions and their impact on program performance.
SayPro Qualifications
– Bachelor’s degree in Evaluation, Social Sciences, Statistics, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
– Proven experience in monitoring and evaluation, focusing on impact assessment and program effectiveness.
– Strong analytical skills with proficiency in data analysis and reporting tools.
– Experience in designing and implementing evaluation methodologies and frameworks.
– Excellent communication skills, with the ability to prepare reports and present findings.
– Proficiency in conducting stakeholder interviews and focus groups.
– Knowledge of relevant evaluation software and tools.
