Job Summary:

SayPro seeks a highly skilled and detail-oriented Data Management Specialist to join our Monitoring and Evaluation team. The ideal candidate will oversee the testing, sampling, and review of data and manage and review data storage systems. This role is crucial for ensuring the integrity, accuracy, and accessibility of data across all projects.

Key Responsibilities:

SayPro Data Testing, Sampling, and Review:
– Conduct comprehensive testing of data to ensure accuracy and reliability.
– Develop and implement sampling methodologies for data validation.
– Review data for consistency, completeness, and adherence to established standards.
– Identify and resolve data discrepancies and errors on time.

SayPro Data Storage Management:
– Oversee the organisation and maintenance of data storage systems, including databases and file systems.
– Implement and monitor data security measures to protect sensitive information.
– Ensure data backup and recovery processes are effectively managed and regularly tested.

SayPro Data Storage Review:
– Regularly review data storage practices and protocols to ensure compliance with best practices and regulatory requirements.
– Conduct periodic audits of data storage systems to assess efficiency and identify areas for improvement.
– Provide recommendations for optimising data storage solutions and upgrading systems as needed.

SayPro Collaboration and Reporting:
– Work closely with the Monitoring and Evaluation team to support data-related needs and projects.
– Prepare and present reports on data quality, storage status, and improvement recommendations.
– Collaborate with IT and other departments to resolve technical issues related to data management.

SayPro Training and Support:
– Provide training and support to team members and stakeholders on data management practices and tools.
– Develop and maintain documentation for data management procedures and best practices.

SayPro Qualifications:

– Bachelor’s degree in Data Management, Computer Science, Information Systems, Statistics, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
– Proven experience in data management, including data testing, sampling, and storage.
– Strong knowledge of data management tools and software (e.g., SQL, Excel, data visualisation tools).
– Familiarity with data storage solutions and best practices.
– Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
– Strong organisational and time-management skills.
– Ability to communicate complex data concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
– Experience with data security and privacy standards.

SayPro Additional Skills:

– Certification in data management or related fields (e.g., CDMP, DAMA) is a plus.
– Experience with statistical analysis and data visualisation tools is advantageous.
– Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
