Position Overview: 

The SayPro Information Technology (IT) Assessor is responsible for evaluating, analyzing, and auditing the organization’s IT systems, infrastructure, and practices. The role involves assessing the effectiveness, security, and efficiency of the technology solutions, as well as ensuring compliance with best practices, industry standards, and regulations. The IT Assessor will work closely with the IT team and other departments to identify areas for improvement, mitigate risks, and ensure the successful operation of SayPro’s IT environment. 

Key Responsibilities: 

SayPro IT System Evaluation  

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of SayPro’s IT infrastructure, systems, and software to evaluate performance, reliability, and scalability. 

• Review current IT processes and systems for compliance with organizational policies, best practices, and industry standards. 

• Ensure the effectiveness of hardware, software, networks, and data storage systems. 

SayPro Security Assessment 

• Perform in-depth assessments of the organization’s cybersecurity measures to identify vulnerabilities and potential threats. 

• Evaluate the effectiveness of firewalls, encryption methods, anti-virus solutions, and other security protocols. 

• Recommend improvements to enhance the organization’s information security and mitigate risks. 

SayPro IT Risk Management 

• Identify and assess potential IT risks, including data breaches, downtime, and system failures. 

• Create detailed reports outlining risk exposure and propose mitigation strategies to protect SayPro’s IT assets. 

• Monitor emerging technologies and risks to ensure proactive security measures are in place. 

SayPro Compliance and Regulation 

• Ensure that SayPro’s IT systems comply with relevant legal requirements, industry standards (e.g., ISO, GDPR, POPIA), and data protection regulations. 

• Conduct audits of data storage, processing, and transmission systems to ensure compliance with regulatory standards. 

• Provide recommendations for achieving compliance and improving data protection practices. 

SayPro Technology Audits 

• Conduct regular technology audits, evaluating system performance, cost-effectiveness, and the integration of technology solutions. 

• Analyze IT system logs, software licenses, and hardware use to identify inefficiencies and ensure optimal resource usage. 

• Collaborate with external auditors or compliance teams during IT audits, providing necessary information and documentation. 

SayPro Recommendations and Reporting 

• Compile assessment reports that include findings, conclusions, and actionable recommendations for IT improvements. 

• Present reports to key stakeholders, including the IT department, management, and executive leadership. 

• Suggest technology upgrades, system optimizations, and process enhancements to improve operational efficiency and security. 

SayPro Vendor and Technology Evaluation 

• Assess the quality, cost, and performance of external IT vendors, services, and solutions used by SayPro. 

• Evaluate the suitability and ROI (Return on Investment) of new and existing technology solutions. 

• Provide input into purchasing decisions and recommend technology that aligns with the organization’s strategic goals. 

SayPro IT Project Oversight 

• Evaluate ongoing IT projects to ensure they are on track to meet objectives, timelines, and budget requirements. 

• Assess potential risks, bottlenecks, or challenges in IT projects and propose solutions to keep projects aligned with organizational needs. 

SayPro Continuous Improvement 

• Identify areas for ongoing improvement in IT infrastructure, system operations, and user experience. 

• Facilitate workshops and discussions with the IT team to improve workflows, systems integrations, and technology adoption. 

• Provide training and guidance to IT staff on improving assessment practices and identifying areas for improvement. 

SayPro User Feedback and Support 

• Gather feedback from end-users and other departments regarding IT system performance and user experience. 

• Incorporate user input into IT assessments to ensure that the technology solutions are meeting the organization’s needs. 

• Recommend user support enhancements to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of IT services. 

Qualifications: 

• Education: 

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field. 

• Certifications in IT auditing, security, or compliance (e.g., CISA, CISSP, CEH) are preferred. 

• Experience: 

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in IT assessment, auditing, security analysis, or related roles. 

• Experience with IT infrastructure, cybersecurity assessments, risk management, and regulatory compliance. 

• Skills: 

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail. 

• Knowledge of IT systems, network security, software development, and cloud technologies. 

• Experience with IT risk management and mitigation strategies. 

• Proficiency in IT auditing tools and security protocols. 

• Excellent communication and reporting skills, with the ability to present technical findings to non-technical stakeholders. 

• Familiarity with regulatory requirements such as GDPR, POPIA, or ISO standards.
