SayPro Job Summary:
The Health Program Evaluations Research Officer at SayPro plays a crucial role in assessing the effectiveness and impact of health programs. This position involves designing and implementing evaluation strategies, analyzing data, and providing insights to enhance program outcomes. The ideal candidate will possess strong research skills, a deep understanding of health program dynamics, and the ability to translate data into actionable recommendations.
SayPro Key Responsibilities:
– Evaluation Design: Develop comprehensive evaluation plans for health programs, including defining objectives, metrics, and methodologies to assess program effectiveness and impact.
– Data Collection: Design and oversee data collection processes, including surveys, interviews, focus groups, and observational studies. Ensure data quality and integrity.
– Data Analysis: Analyze quantitative and qualitative data using statistical tools and techniques. Interpret findings and generate reports that highlight trends, outcomes, and areas for improvement.
– Reporting: Prepare detailed evaluation reports, presentations, and briefs for internal and external stakeholders. Communicate findings clearly and effectively to inform decision-making.
– Program Support: Provide technical assistance and guidance to program managers and staff on evaluation-related matters. Support the integration of evaluation findings into program planning and implementation.
– Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with external partners, including healthcare providers, community organizations, and funders, to ensure alignment and support for evaluation activities.
– Continuous Improvement: Stay abreast of the latest research and evaluation methodologies. Recommend and implement best practices to enhance the quality and effectiveness of evaluations.
SayPro Qualifications:
– Education: Master’s degree in Public Health, Social Sciences, Statistics, or a related field. A PhD is a plus.
– Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in health program evaluation or related research roles. Experience in a similar position within a non-profit or public health organization is highly desirable.
– Skills: Proficiency in statistical software (e.g., SPSS, R, Stata) and data visualization tools. Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
– Knowledge: In-depth understanding of health program evaluation methodologies, research ethics, and data management. Familiarity with health policy and systems.
– Attributes: Detail-oriented, self-motivated, and capable of working independently as well as part of a team. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
