Job Summary:

SayPro is seeking a skilled and analytical Governance Specialist to support our governance and compliance efforts. The Governance Specialist will play a key role in ensuring that SayPro adheres to governance standards, regulatory requirements, and internal policies. This role involves monitoring compliance, supporting governance initiatives, and providing expertise in risk management.

Key Responsibilities:

Governance Support: Assist in the development, implementation, and maintenance of governance policies and procedures. Ensure alignment with industry standards and regulatory requirements.

Compliance Monitoring: Monitor and assess compliance with internal policies, external regulations, and legal requirements. Conduct regular reviews and audits to identify and address compliance issues.

Risk Assessment: Identify potential governance and compliance risks. Assist in developing risk management strategies and controls to mitigate identified risks.

Documentation and Reporting: Prepare and maintain accurate records related to governance and compliance activities. Generate reports for senior management and the board on governance and compliance status.

Policy Management: Support the development and revision of governance-related policies. Ensure that policies are current, communicated effectively, and adhered to throughout the organization.

Training and Education: Assist in creating and delivering training programs on governance, compliance, and risk management. Promote awareness of governance policies and best practices among employees.

Audit Support: Coordinate with internal and external auditors during governance and compliance audits. Address audit findings and implement corrective actions as needed.

Stakeholder Communication: Collaborate with internal stakeholders to provide guidance on governance and compliance issues. Engage with external stakeholders, including regulatory bodies, as required.

Research and Analysis: Stay informed about changes in regulations and best practices related to governance and compliance. Provide recommendations for updates to policies and procedures based on new developments.

Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Law, Finance, or a related field. Certification in governance or compliance (e.g., Certified Compliance & Ethics Professional) is a plus.

Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in governance, compliance, or a related role. Experience in a corporate or regulatory environment is preferred.
