We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Disease Prevalence Surveys Research Specialist to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in epidemiology, biostatistics, and survey methodology. In this role, you will design, implement, and analyze disease prevalence surveys, contributing to vital research that influences public health strategies.
SayPro Key Responsibilities:
– Survey Design & Implementation: Develop and refine survey instruments to assess disease prevalence across diverse populations. Ensure the surveys are methodologically sound, culturally appropriate, and aligned with research objectives.
– Data Collection & Management: Oversee data collection processes, including coordinating fieldwork, training data collectors, and ensuring data integrity. Manage and maintain survey datasets, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
– Data Analysis: Conduct statistical analyses to identify disease prevalence patterns and trends. Utilize advanced statistical software and techniques to interpret complex data sets and generate actionable insights.
– Reporting & Dissemination: Prepare detailed reports and presentations summarizing research findings. Communicate results effectively to stakeholders, including public health officials, policymakers, and the research community.
– Collaboration & Coordination: Work closely with interdisciplinary teams, including epidemiologists, statisticians, and public health professionals. Collaborate with external partners and stakeholders to enhance research efforts and ensure comprehensive data collection.
– Quality Assurance: Implement and monitor quality control procedures to ensure the reliability and validity of survey data. Address any issues or discrepancies in data collection or analysis processes.
SayPro Qualifications:
– Education: Master’s degree or higher in Epidemiology, Biostatistics, Public Health, or a related field.
– Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in designing and conducting disease prevalence surveys or similar research projects. Proven track record of working with large datasets and conducting advanced statistical analyses.
– Skills: Strong proficiency in statistical software (e.g., SAS, R, SPSS). Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
