Role Overview
The SayPro Awards University Graduate Intern will play a vital role in supporting the organization and execution of our awards program. This position offers an excellent opportunity for hands-on experience in event planning, communication, and award management. The intern will gain valuable insights into the intricacies of award ceremonies and contribute to celebrating outstanding achievements in various categories.
Key Responsibilities
1. SayPro Award Categories:
– Employee Excellence: Assist in managing awards such as Employee of the Year, Leadership Excellence, Innovation Award, Customer Service Award, and Team of the Year.
– Business Achievements: Support the recognition of Best New Product, Growth Award, Sustainability Award, Community Impact Award, and Best Marketing Campaign.
– Industry Recognition: Help manage awards like Industry Leader Award, Best Practice Award, and Innovation in Technology.
– Special Recognitions: Aid in the execution of Lifetime Achievement, Rising Star, and Diversity and Inclusion Award.
2. SayPro Award Nomination and Selection:
– Nomination Process: Assist in announcing and inviting nominations, providing and collecting nomination forms, and managing submission deadlines.
– Selection Criteria: Help develop criteria and metrics for each category, support the judging panel, and contribute to the review process.
– Final Selection: Aid in shortlisting nominees, organizing interviews or presentations, and finalizing award winners.
3. SayPro Award Ceremony Planning:
– Event Coordination: Support venue selection, event scheduling, and logistics arrangements.
– Program Design: Assist in creating agendas, scriptwriting, and planning entertainment for the ceremony.
– Awards Presentation: Help design and produce trophies, plaques, or certificates, organize the presentation, and manage photography and video recording.
4. SayPro Communication and Promotion:
– Announcement: Write and distribute press releases, promote through social media, and communicate with internal stakeholders.
– Marketing Materials: Create brochures, flyers, event invitations, and post-event reports.
5. SayPro Post-Award Activities:
– Feedback Collection: Conduct surveys and review feedback from attendees, nominees, and winners.
– Continuous Improvement: Identify areas for improvement and assist in planning for future awards cycles.
– Recognition: Feature winners in company newsletters and media, and provide ongoing support.
Qualifications:
– Recent University Graduate or final-year student in Marketing, Communications, Event Management, or a related field.
– Strong written and verbal communication skills.
– Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and basic graphic design tools.
– Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail.
– Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
– Passion for recognizing and celebrating achievements.
