The Municipality Partnership Owned Entities Officer plays a pivotal role in managing and enhancing partnerships between the municipality and its owned entities. This position involves overseeing the performance, compliance, and strategic alignment of these entities to ensure they contribute effectively to the municipality’s overall objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Partnership Management: Develop and maintain strong relationships with municipality-owned entities, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
- Performance Monitoring: Track and analyze the performance of owned entities against key performance indicators (KPIs), providing regular reports to senior management.
- Compliance Oversight: Ensure that all owned entities comply with local, state, and federal regulations, as well as municipal policies and standards.
- Strategic Alignment: Work with owned entities to align their operations with the municipality’s strategic goals and community needs.
- Risk Management: Identify and mitigate risks associated with the operation of owned entities, developing contingency plans as necessary.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Serve as the primary point of contact between the municipality and its owned entities, facilitating dialogue with community stakeholders and other relevant parties.
- Financial Oversight: Monitor financial performance, budgeting, and resource allocation of owned entities to ensure fiscal responsibility and sustainability.
- Project Management: Lead special projects related to the expansion, reorganization, or divestiture of municipality-owned entities.
- Reporting: Prepare and present detailed reports to the municipal council and other governing bodies regarding the status and performance of owned entities.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Public Administration, Business Management, or a related field. A Master’s degree is preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 1 years of experience in municipal governance, partnership management, or a related area. Experience with managing or overseeing public entities is highly desirable.
