Position Overview:
The Finance Management Assessor is responsible for conducting evaluations of financial operations and systems within an organization or on behalf of external clients. This role ensures that financial activities comply with industry standards, regulations, and best practices while identifying opportunities for improvement in efficiency, risk management, and financial reporting. The Finance Management Assessor will provide recommendations to optimize financial performance and contribute to overall organizational success.
Key Responsibilities:
SayPro Financial Assessment and Auditing
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of financial systems, processes, and controls to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and compliance with regulatory standards.
- Perform internal audits of financial records and reporting systems to identify discrepancies, risks, or opportunities for process improvement.
SayPro Risk Management and Compliance
- Evaluate the financial risk exposure of the organization and propose strategies for risk mitigation.
- Ensure compliance with national and international accounting standards (e.g., IFRS, GAAP), tax regulations, and legal requirements.
SayPro Budget and Financial Planning Review
- Analyze and assess the organization’s budgeting process and financial forecasting methods to enhance accuracy and predictability.
- Review performance against financial goals and provide insights to improve planning and budget management.
SayPro Internal Controls and Safeguards
- Assess the adequacy of internal financial controls to prevent fraud, mismanagement, and inefficiencies.
- Recommend improvements in financial control measures and ensure appropriate documentation of financial procedures.
SayPro Financial Reporting and Analysis
- Evaluate the organization’s financial statements, reports, and financial data for accuracy, consistency, and alignment with business objectives.
- Generate detailed reports highlighting findings, risks, and recommendations for management action.
SayPro Process Improvement Recommendations
- Identify opportunities for improving financial processes, including cost-reduction strategies, resource optimization, and workflow efficiency.
- Support the implementation of financial system upgrades or process changes.
SayPro Training and Support
- Provide guidance and training to finance and accounting staff on best practices in financial management and risk mitigation.
- Develop educational materials or workshops to enhance financial literacy within the organization.
SayPro Stakeholder Collaboration
- Collaborate with various departments, including finance, operations, and management, to support financial assessments and ensure accurate information flow.
- Liaise with external auditors, regulatory bodies, and consultants to facilitate financial assessments and external audits.
SayPro Financial Risk Detection
- Monitor and assess financial activities for potential signs of fraud, misconduct, or operational risks.
- Advise management on corrective actions and strategies to strengthen financial governance.
SayPro Technology and Systems Optimization
- Utilize financial management software and tools to streamline financial assessments, reporting, and analysis.
- Assess the effectiveness of financial systems and suggest upgrades or integrations to enhance operational efficiency.
Qualifications:
- Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
- Advanced degree or professional certifications (e.g., CPA, CFA, CMA) preferred.
- Experience:
- Minimum of [X] years of experience in financial assessment, auditing, or financial management.
- Previous experience in risk management, financial consulting, or internal/external auditing is desirable.
- Skills:
